A sculpture inspired from the idea of the sarcophagus – sixteen different layers of material, held together by a central iron cord. From the earliest discovered cement or entropic materials to the most recent underground findings, each of these sculpted cores represents an incessant process of accumulation, a history of materials and metamaterials. The sculpture speculates about the materials that will constitute future constructions, which in turn will need future sarcophagi.
