Itai??i??s all real : Omar et YounA?s
2 synchronized HD videos, 14mins 50 sec, 2014.
Two teenagers, Omar and Younes, are illegal immigrants born in Lebanon from African fathers and Asian mothers, hoping to leave the country. They are part of a generation that questions its filiation, transmission, origins, identity, and position. Through a split-screen, two parallel screens like an interval, the installation reflects their immobile mobility, isolation and solitude, as well as their hopes. Their own territory becomes the basketball court where they meet every day. They show family photos, a remaining trace, and talk about the past, contemplate the future, express their torments but also their faith in the things to come.
